There’s a surprising variety of design possibilities for kokoshnik tiaras. Here are 5 drool-worthy examples and their stories. Let’s take a look at tiaras belonging to Grand Duchess Hilda of Baden, the Duke of Westminster, Queen Alexandra of Great Britain, Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna (Ella), and Crown Princess Cecilie of Prussia.
There’s a county in Luxembourg named “Wiltz.” As in…my married last name. You could say this has my name written all over it. But I stumbled onto Luxembourg’s amazing royal history when I looked into Duke Adolph of Nassau, and how he eventually came to inherit the throne of Luxembourg. His six beautiful granddaughters kept my attention, what with the trials and tribulations they went through during two World Wars. I hope you enjoy their stories as much as I did.
